NLNE Final 2019 Full-Partner Quarterly Gathering, November 13

Date: November 13, 2019

Time: 11:30 am

With one university and three community colleges in the Texas Panhandle, we believe the development and growth of internship programs within our Partnership is crucial to keeping our talent at home and bringing new talent to our area to stay!

In 2018, the NLNE Partnership collectively offered more than 150 paid internships. We believe we can do better than that!

At this Quarterly Full-Partner Gathering, NLNE is Launching our 2020 Partnership Challenge: 20in2020!

We would like to see a 20-percent increase in the collective number of paid-internships offered by our partner organizations!

In order to ensure success, NLNE, Amarillo Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), Small Business Development Center (SBDC), West Texas A&M University (WTAMU), and Workforce Solutions Panhandle (WFSP) are coming together to offer our partners exclusive access to resources that will help create and improve those opportunities:

  • Free Internship Management Workshop by Nationally-recognized Internship Expert Dr. Robert Shindell on Wednesday, November 6
  • Peer-to-Peer Mentoring from leaders at NLNE Partner Organizations who have in-depth experience with successful internship programs
  • Access to AEDC’s Intern Experience – a summer program that introduces our interns to Amarillo’s hidden gems and friendly atmosphere to improve the odds of keeping them here
  • Free internship job postings on the AEDC’s new website Take Root, which highlights the benefits of Amarillo residency

Join us to learn more about each of these opportunities!

*Lunch provided.
