Man Indicted For Putting Blades in Meat

Sometimes, you hate your  job so much that you want to make others miserable – or try to kill them.

Such was the case of 20 year old Nwee Lah, who while working at a Tyson meat production plant near Amarillo, stuck saw blades into the meat.

The disgruntled worker found a broken saw blade on the floor next to him, broke it into four tiny pieces, and stuck them inside a chuck roll. He was caught by a nearby employee, who in turn alerted management.

After an investigation by the company, Lah was charged with tampering with consumer products and arrested. Tyson management inspected the meat in question and ran it through a metal detector to ensure he didn’t add any more metal to the product. They say that outgoing meat is safe to eat, and this was a one time occurrence.

The incident occurred September 30, and the investigation concluded October 6. He was recently formally charged, and authorities are unsure whether or not he is in the country legally.

The former employee faces up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.
