An employee for Affiliated Foods became entombed up to his chest in spuds after trying to empty the vegetables from the cargo hold of a tractor-trailer.
While no details are available as to how the man was rescued from the potatoes, he is now safe. All that is known is that he was attached to a harness at one point in the rescue, and one option explored was dumping the spuds. That was soon disavowed for fear of suffocating the man.
